I have the extreme privilege of calling the wonderful Rebecca Balich (pronounced like “college”) one of my close friends. Rebecca was recently asked to be in a LuLaRoe photo shoot. This lucky lady was gracious enough to sit down and answer some questions I have about what it was like to be included in a LuLaRoe photo shoot! So, without further ado, let’s dive in!
What’s your name? Rebecca Balich
How long have you been selling LuLaRoe? 2 years
How were you introduced to LuLaRoe? I bought a couple pairs of leggings and Perfect Ts not long after having my youngest daughter. I needed clothes that weren’t maternity and were comfortable!
What’s your favorite style? It’s a tie between the Carly and the Maria
How did you end up on the radar for a LuLaRoe photo shoot? I met Amelia Lyon at the LA Celebrate 5 party and she said I should be in a photo shoot! I was contacted by home office almost month after talking to Amelia and asked to be in the photo shoot for Vision.
So, what was the big reason you decided to do a LuLaRoe photo shoot? It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity! Who would pass up an opportunity to learn styling tips and be in photos that are used by LuLaRoe?
Your personal style is a little more rock than than the typical LuLaRoe retailer. Did you get to show you own personal style? I think so! One outfit in particular showcased my style especially. I wore a Noir Amelia, black velvet Elegant Jill, and the black Moto Jacket from Supply with these HUGE triangle earrings. My hair was styled in a pompadour. I think even with the bright, bold patterns LuLaRoe is known for you can make them a more rock and alternative.
When will these photos be used? They will all be at Vision!
Ok, spill the beans! Did you get to try on any new or unreleased styles? YES! I wore the Georgia for one outfit and a jacket similar to the Wendy from the Supply store.
What was your biggest takeaway from the shoot? I learned that you have to show your confidence and feel confident. If you don’t it comes through on the photos. I’ve been pushing myself to make more of an effort in my daily outfits/makeup/ and accessories. It totally makes me feel better about myself and comes through in every aspect of my life and business.
What piece of advice would you give anyone wanting to be included in a LuLaRoe photo shoot? Work on your social media presence! Figure out a way to stand out from all the other photos on Instagram.
What is 1 piece of advice do you wish you would have gotten before you started your business? That you have to be flexible and willing to change things up constantly. LuLaRoe is a constant changing business and if you don’t change with it, you will get frustrated and want to give up on this amazing opportunity.
