It’s been a while since the LuLaRoe Georgia dress was teased. In fact, it’s been almost 7 months! This dress was sneak-peeked at both the January and April leaderships (click HERE to read about the announcement). This dress was finally released at Vision, LuLaRoe’s annual convention (click HERE to read about it). After not-so patiently waiting for the Georgia to arrive, I’ve finally gotten my hands on a box of them. I had to try on a few to see how I liked the fit in the different fabrics. So, here it is! Here’s my honest review of the LuLaRoe Georgia dress!
How Does The LuLaRoe Georgia Dress Fit?
Let me start off by saying that you shouldn’t be scared by the ruffles. I promise, they don’t add extra volume. I tend to carry my weight in my hips and thighs, so this is always a concern of mine. To be honest, I was a little skeptical on the fit. Sometimes the Nicole doesn’t fit my arms because I’ve got some bat wings, if I’m being honest. I tend to be a 10/12 on top, but a 12/14 on bottom. I wasn’t sure if I would be a large or an extra-large based on the sizing chart. So, I tried on the extra large first because I’d rather have to size down than size up. Nothing kills your self-esteem faster than sizing up, amirite?! Well, the XL was too long in the sleeves, baggy in the chest, and I had extra room in the waist. So, YAY for being able to size down! I went with a large, which is my Lynnae size. We were told by LuLaRoe to go with our Lynnae sizing, so I’m happy to say that I agree with this!
Styling the LuLaRoe Georgia Dress
This dress honestly is very versatile. I’m imagining wearing this striped one styled like in the picture below to a nice dinner with my husband. When it starts to get cooler here, I think this would be cute with some textured tights and booties. And finally, when it’s absolutely freezing, I’ll throw on leggings and knee-high boots for some added warmth. I love throwing a belt around my waist to 1. accentuate my waist and 2. dress up the LuLaRoe Georgia dress. If I want to make the Georgia a little more casual, I plan on wearing some Converse or Keds. I might even throw on a graphic tee over the top to truly give a juxtaposition between the tiered skirt and the informal top. I’ll update this post once I take a picture.
Overall, I’m in love with the LuLaRoe Georgia dress! This dress is incredibly versatile, so I could wear it on date night with my husband or out to grab groceries with just a change of shoes and accessories. I can see this dress being a staple in my closet now!
