The LuLaRoe Bella launched recently, so that means it’s time for me to review it, right? (Not sure what the Bella is? Click HERE to read my launch announcement.) I’m all for any reason to play dress up, so I’m down for reviewing any style! So, let’s get to my honest LuLaRoe Bella review!
LuLaRoe Bella Review: Fabric
The Bella only came in DTY fabric, or the slinky fabric you find in maxi skirts. I’m excited for this fabric in this skirt because it will provide movement to the skirt. Additionally, it packs really well. You don’t have to worry about DTY wrinkling. It’s also fairly light in regards to weight. I’m always cutting it close with bag weights when flying! This is the perfect recipe for a vacation-worthy skirt!
LuLaRoe Bella Review: Price
I feel like this is a great price for the Bella. The Maxi skirt is $42, yet the Bella has more construction with the wrap feature and the ruffle, which makes it well worth the price.
LuLaRoe Bella Review: Fit
My Stats:
Why am I telling you this info? My details plus these pictures will help you make an informed decision on what size you should wear. I’m 5’4″, a size 12/14, carry my weight in my stomach, hips, and thighs, and am an hourglass/borderline pear shape.
Small
When I went to order, the small wasn’t available. Shoot!
Medium
Ok, medium. I wanted to love this one because I love this print. However, I felt self-conscious. I felt like the medium highlighted my taco baby. I’m also not super confident in my thighs, and the skirt went a little higher than I felt confident in. I might give off the image that I walk into the room feeling like Beyonce, but I don’t if my clothes are not the right fit. So, would I wear the medium? I’d probably pass.
Large
So, large is the size I normally wear in the Maxi. I was more pleased with the fit on the large. My thighs were covered, it didn’t squeeze too tightly on the belly, and my booty was highlighted nicely. This will be one of the sizes that I grab, especially if I plan on wearing knee-high boots. I’ll get into that more with the XL.
Extra-Large
Ok, XL. LOVE this print! When I saw it in my box, I had to try it on! The XL was a little looser than the large (which makes sense), so it doesn’t cling to my booty quite as much. I feel like this is the size I would wear if I wanted to wear a Bella skirt to a meeting. It would be perfect with a button up shirt and a pair of booties. The XL covers my knees, so I wouldn’t do knee-high boots because I find that slip of skin showing between boots and skirt to be sassy, sexy, and needed. The XL also is the last size I can wear before the ruffle pulls through when I’m tying the skirt.
2XL
I tried on the 2X, but I couldn’t wrap the skirt tight enough without pulling the ruffle through. I don’t think the 2X will work for me at this time.
3XL
Based on the 2X, I didn’t try on the 3X.
LuLaRoe Bella Review: Overall Thoughts
Honestly, I love this skirt. It’s flirty and fun. I think with some boots and a button up, it can transition really well to fall and winter fashion. Is this a skirt that I need 143 like I do with the Maxi? Probably not. But I feel like I need 2 or 3 for vacations, date nights, and on a day that I’m feeling really sassy! My preferred sizes will be the large and the XL based on what look I’m going for.
