Oh man, friends. A new shirt has come out, so it’s only logical for me to right my review of it, right?! I’m so excited for the LuLaRoe Iris because it’s being billed as the combination of all the LuLaRoe shirts that we know and love. What could be better than a love-child of everything we like? So, let’s get down to my honest LuLaRoe Iris review!
What is the LuLaRoe Iris?
If you haven’t heard the news that a new shirt was coming out, click HERE to read the launch announcement.
LuLaRoe Iris Review: Fabric
The Iris is being made in the MVS fabric, or the super soft, cottony feeling fabric. I love how this fabric feels against my skin.
LuLaRoe Iris Review: Price
At $32, I feel that this shirt is well worth the money.
LuLaRoe Iris Review: Fit
Now this is what you came for, right? I included the above sizing chart, but I’ll work on providing my thoughts on the fit as well. These size charts can be screwy, right?
So, let’s talk my stats. I’m a size 12/14, 5’4″, a 34D, and have an hourglass/borderline pear shape. Because of my shape, I carry my weight in the lower part of my body. Why do I tell you all this? So you can make an informed decision on what size you will need. When it comes to LuLaRoe styles and sizes, I like the small or medium Irma, large Classic/Christy/Lynnae, and XL Amber.
Small
This is the size that I prefer in the Irma. Would I rock this size in the Iris? Probably not. It was a little tighter through the tummy, bust, and arms than I preferred. But I would make it work with jeans if the print was THAT good, like this one with the skulls.
Medium
Ok, I’m loving the medium. The issues I had in the small are negated in the medium. The sleeves hit at a good length without highlighting my batwings. I know bats are in for Halloween, but I’m not a fan of them on my own body. The length is also good on the medium. I would feel comfortable wearing this size with jeans or leggings.
Large
The large would be my true-to-size size. This was definitely looser. I would feel very confident in this size with a pair of leggings. The sleeves hit just above my elbow, the bust was loose, and it covered my booty.
Extra-Large
This is getting big and baggy. The sleeves hit at or just below my elbows. If I found a print that I truly loved in this size, I would belt it and blouse it at the waist to give it a little more shape.
2XL
The 2x was starting to get to the point where I was worried about the v-neck being too low. I hiked it up in the chest for this picture. However, if I wanted to make this size work for me, I could pop it off a shoulder and throw on a cute bralette, giving some serious 80’s vibes.
3XL
The 3X is quite large on me, but I had to try on all the sizes, right?
LuLaRoe Iris Review: Overall Thoughts
So, what does the Iris fit like? Lengthwise, it’s a little longer than the Classic, but shorter than the Irma. The sleeves are similar to the Perfect, but much looser than the Irma. Would I size down twice like I do in an Irma or Perfect? Stay true to size like the Classic and Christy? I would recommend going with one size down for jeans and true to size for a looser look with leggings.

Hi Devin! Love your descriptions!! Very comprehensive. I still don’t know what size Iris to buy. I want to wear with leggings and cover front and back (definitely!!) w/XL Ambers, XL Hudson LS, or L or XL Irma. I don’t like “swirly” I like more straight cuts. I’m 5-10 so covering my front lower female parts and butt are key, especially with leggings! What size should I get, or would it just be overall to small? I like the V neck LOTS for spring and summer or the less “scoops” crew of the Hudson and Irma!! Thank you. Marcia
Hi Marcia!
I would go true to size or one smaller to make sure it’s long enough. The Iris did just get reworked, so it is a bit longer now. Check on your favorite retailer’s return policy just to make sure you can return it if it’s not love.
Thanks!
Devin
