Recently, LuLaRoe launched a new cover up called the Savannah. My boxes finally got here thanks to the Christmas shipping rush, so it’s about time I review these, right? Let’s get to my honest LuLaRoe Savannah review.
What is the LuLaRoe Savannah?
The Savannah is a kaftan-inspired cover-up. Click HERE to read all the details.
LuLaRoe Savannah Review: Fabric
The Savannah comes in 2 varieties of the hachi fabric, brushed and unbrushed. This fabric is super soft and lightweight, so you won’t overheat while wearing it.
LuLaRoe Savannah Review: Fit
This part of the review is going to be easy because there are only 2 sizes available in the Savannah!
My Stats:
I’m a size 12/14, 5’4″, hourglass/borderline pear, a 34D, and carry my weight primarily in my hips, butt, and thighs. Why am I telling you this? Knowing my body shape and size and how that could influence my review will help you make a decision on which size you will need.
S/M:
The S/M is what I should wear according to the sizing chart. The sleeves hit me at the elbows and the bottom hem ends mid-thigh. Generally speaking, this is the size I prefer. The L/XL is a whole lot of fabric for me to manage, whereas the S/M has coverage without overwhelming my shape.
L/XL:
The L/XL is oversized. The sleeves come down to my wrists and the bottom hem hits me at the knee. That said, I do love the L/XL as a wrap, like pictured below.
LuLaRoe Savannah Review: Styling Tips
I’m not going to lie. When I saw some pictures that were released of the Savannah, I thought that this look could go wrong quickly. No one wants to look like they’re in their bathrobe when they are out in public, right? So, I’ve compiled some styling tips below to make this wrap less scary!
Jeans and Shirt
There are a few different ways you can rock the Savannah with just jeans and a shirt. You can wear it open like a modified Joy vest. You can also rock it belted, but with the back pulled it out. This gives it more of a cape feel. Like I showed with the L/XL, you can also wear it as a wrap cape by throwing one of the front pieces across your shoulders.
Anything with a collar
I’m not going to lie. I’m loving the look of the Savannah where the sash is tied under the collar of a shirt. It feels more professional and a little more high-fashion to me. I’m pretty sure the look on my face shows you how much I love this Valentina with this Savannah!
As a Wrap Top
Oh Lord help me! I LOVE this look! The Savannah would be adorable with a skirt with a waistband, like the Lucy, Lola, Jill, or Madison! However, make sure you are wearing a tank or something underneath because this is open on the sides.
LuLaRoe Savannah Review: Overall Thoughts
If I’m being completely honest, I ordered the Savannah expecting to think that this was a fussy piece. As I’ve stated before, I’m a fan of function over fashion about 90% of the time. This piece can check both boxes. I can wear it functionally or as a fashion piece when I get a wild hair up my ass. At $44, this piece is worth the price!
