Please excuse me while I get a little excited! As a child with a “unique” name, I was never able to find my name on anything growing up. When LuLaRoe announced their new shirt would be called the Devin, spelled with an I, I shrieked, danced, and acted like a fool. Yes, that’s no different than a normal Tuesday in our house, but if you have a unique name, you will understand my excitement. Now that the Devin has come to the mainline production, I had to order it. It’s now here, so it’s time for my honest LuLaRoe Devin Review.
What is the LuLaRoe Devin?
Well, HELLO! I’m Devin, but not the Devin behind the Devin. Can we say Devin a few more times? But for real, this is a brand new shirt in LuLaRoe’s line-up. Click HERE to read the announcement I wrote when this shirt came out.
LuLaRoe Devin Review: Fabric
So the Devin came in a new fabric blend, called 30 singles. I’m not sure what that means, but it is a 50%/50% blend of cotton and polyester. It has the softness of the cotton, but the polyester helps it retain it’s shape.
LuLaRoe Devin Review: Price
At $34, this shirt is very affordable, in my opinion. It’s similar to the Hudson (click HERE to read my Hudson review), so it makes sense for their prices to be similar.
LuLaRoe Devin Review: Fit
This is why you’re really here, right?
My Stats
Knowing my info will make it easier for you to decide what size will work best for you.
I’m 5’4″, a size 12/14, a 34D, and and a bottom-heavy hourglass. This means that I have an hourglass, but I’m fuller on the bottom, but not quite a pear shape.
Small
Well, color me shocked. I thought I was going to have to peel this off my body, but it’s not bad! I didn’t try sitting down or wearing it for long periods of time, so this still could cling to my taco tummy if I moved wrong. Would I wear this size all the time? No, but I might make an exception for a certain print. The small would be for jeans and skirts only. Sorry leggings.
Medium
Since this is a size down from my traditional size, this should be my go-to size. You know what? It probably will be! Next time I throw one on, I will try rolling the cuffs.
Large
This is my traditional size. It’s a little big, but not sloppy. I will make this work, especially if I want to rock some leggings!
Extra-Large
I had to fold this one under. There is getting to be more and more fabric to work with. Will I wear this size normally? Probably not.
2XL
Aaaannnnnddd we’re getting really big. I pulled this one down to show the length.
3XL
I took a 3X and knotted it up. It’s cute, but the sleeves are really long.
LuLaRoe Devin Review: Overall Thoughts
I will be honest. I have an inherent love for this style simply because of the name. I’m going to try to remove this love and be neutral now.
The Devin is a great unisex shirt. It’s very similar to the Hudson, but with the tweak of a v-neck, which some people, including myself, prefer. Since it is a unisex shirt, the neckline will be higher since not all guys love channeling the 70’s and rocking the chest hair. This is going to be a great go-to shirt with jeans or leggings! For sizing, I’d say size down once from your traditional size, but don’t be scared to play around with it.
