Recently, LuLaRoe launched a new shirt called the Jana. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one as a brand ambassador, so I have a little inside knowledge on this style. Because of how my Jana fit, I decided to order them to carry in the shop. Well, my Jana’s are here, so it’s time to review them! Here it is, my honest LuLaRoe Jana review!
What is the LuLaRoe Jana?
The Jana is an empire waist swing top. Click HERE to read the announcement of the Jana style launch.
LuLaRoe Jana Review: Fabric
The Jana comes in MVS, which is the super soft cottony fabric we love. I left the Jana I got as a brand ambassador sitting on the seat in my truck. It got covered by bags of packages I had to ship out and groceries because, well, life happens. I pulled this out of the truck, gave it a quick shake, and was beyond pleased that there was no wrinkling!
LuLaRoe Jana Review: Price
For $34, this shirt is priced at a perfect price! It’s less than the Christy and Perfect, which this shirt kind of feels like a merging of these 2 styles.
LuLaRoe Jana Review: Fit
My Stats:
I’m 5’4″, a 12/14, 34D, a traditional size large, and am a hourglass/borderline pear. This means that I have a defined waist, but my hips, butt, thighs, and lower stomach are wider than my shoulders. Knowing my stats will help you make an informed opinion on what size will work best for you.
Small
Ok, I was shocked! I got a medium as my size for my brand ambassadors package. Based on the medium, I didn’t think a small would be possible. The seam was under my bust and clung to my chest, however, it did slip up if I moved. The sleeves weren’t too tight, which was surprising! Would I wear this size? No. This is not the intended look of the shirt.
Medium
This is the size I got as a brand ambassador. This is a size down from my traditional size. The sleeves aren’t too tight, it covers my booty, but the seam doesn’t stay put. It kept sliding up on my chest and cutting my boobs in half. While this wasn’t the end of the world, this won’t be my go-to size. If you have a smaller chest than me, this may work for you, though.
Large
Large is my traditional size. This will be the size I grab for. It is loose and flowy without being too baggy. I still have a shape. The seam also lays below my boobs.
Extra-Large
This XL is getting bigger, but not HUGE on me yet. I think this would look cute with a pair of leggings.
2XL
Now we’re getting too big. I feel like if I lean forward, you’ll be able to see everything down my shirt because of the v-neck.
3XL
And I continued with the 3X because this is my duty, but I personally would not oversize to this.
LuLaRoe Jana Review: Overall Thoughts
I really do like the Jana. I think this style will quickly become a favorite for many. The fabric is fantastic and doesn’t wrinkle. This cut looks great and creates a waist on people! If you have a larger chest size, I would recommend going true to size or one up. If you are smaller breasted, you can go true to size or down one.
