Well friends, we meet again! LuLaRoe recently released the Debra top, so it’s about time I do a review of it, right? Let’s be honest, that’s what you’re searching for. You want to know the fabric, the fit, and what size you need. Am I reading your mind? Well, let’s get to it. Here is my honest LuLaRoe Debra review!
What is the LuLaRoe Debra?
The Debra is a peasant top that just joined the LuLaRoe line-up of tops! Click HERE to read my announcement of this style.
LuLaRoe Debra Review: Fabric
The Debra comes in a rayon spandex blend. This fabric is soft, doesn’t wrinkle easily, and has amazing stretch. It lays beautifully over any curves you don’t want seen and hides all past signs. I can’t imagine this shirt in any other fabric.
LuLaRoe Debra Review: Price
At $36, this shirt is incredibly reasonable! It’s the same price as the Perfect tee was, but it has much more detail to it with the elastic cuffs, shirring at the shoulders, and the tie detail at the collar.
LuLaRoe Debra Review: Fit
My Stats:
Knowing how I’m built and carry my weight will help you decide what size you need, right? I’m a size 12/14, 5’4″, a street size large, have an hourglass/borderline pear shape, and am a 34D.
Small
Oh hey! I LOVE being able to slip into a small, but it’s not going to be a size I wear regularly. This clings to my curves a little more than I’d really like. But, this is a testament to the stretchiness of this fabric!
Medium
First off, this might not be my best angle, but I’m living with it. The medium is still a little tighter than I like, but I’d make to work for the right print.
Large
Here is my traditional size. I love it. It’s comfy, the sleeves aren’t too tight, it’s long enough, and it’s my favorite. Did I mention I LOVE this shirt?
Extra-Large
This is sized up once. While it’s looser and a bit longer, it is not baggy and sloppy yet. This will be my go-to size if I want to wear leggings.
2XL
We’re getting longer and looser. The sleeves are reaching a point where I’m not sure if they are too short to be long or too long to be 3/4’s lengths. If I loved the print, I’d make it work by pushing up the sleeves.
3XL
Here is the 3x. We’ve reached the point where I feel like the shirt wears me instead of me wearing the shirt.
LuLaRoe Debra Review: Overall Thoughts
I love this shirt. It’s so incredibly versatile. You can rock it with jeans or with a skirt and a blazer in case you need to dress up. You can leave the collar tied or untie it, and it completely changes the vibe of this shirt. The price is perfect. The fabric is fantastic. The only thing I would potentially change is making the sleeve elastic a little looser. This won’t deter me from wearing the Debra all the time, though!
